The transition from teenage to adulthood

Now, I have always wanted to blog, everyone's doing it so why not see what the fuss is about, right? So having finally found something I am comfortable sharing with the world wide web - Embarking the Journey of Adulthood. I shall begin.

We all go through the same changes we all need to embrace and accept. It's a shame but it has taken me a while to accept that I will never get my size 8 figure back, once your hips start widening there is no going back! I am now a size 12 a 10 at a push ;) and you know what it's Ok? To be honest with you I am most happy now than I was a smaller size, I used to find more imperfections than I do now, crazy huh?!

Learning to love yourself is a big step, it does take time to adjust to all these changes. It's even harder finding yourself & learning to ways to express your personality. You realise you can no longer dress yourself in ribbons ie. Polka dot bag with ribbons across it, ribbons in your hair, on your shoes... I mean there's nothing stopping you but it's about finding the more mature & sophisticated you. So you can imagine how hard it was to accept when I could no longer wear ribbons and get away with it.

Onto more "serious" stuff, RESPONSIBILITY. "What do you mean I am old enough to clean up after myself?! AND do the dishes! " It is most likely what your inner child is telling you as this change happens. It sucks I know.I quite used to like just dumping my laundry in the basket, within a day or two it came back clean & ironed, MAGIC.  But you know what? It's not all that bad - you pick it up & get used to it, you sort of have to when you move out. (That's a whole new blog) ;)

Keep on smiling
